The new CS2 model is a compact version of the full-size NightStar 3. Like its sibling,
NightStar CS2 uses the Faraday principle of induction to eliminate batteries forever.
Just shake the flashlight for 40 seconds, get up to 20 minutes of usable white light.
The single cool white LED and special lens provide a smooth, well-focused beam.
A highly- effective glow-in-the-dark slide switch makes the flashlight easy to locate.
The rugged polycarbonate case is fully waterproof, and very resistant to chemicals.
Unlike its many cheap imitators, the NightStar CS2 has the hallmark features of the
larger NightStar 3, including a rugged waterproof polycarbonate body, StarCore™
LED and custom optics, glow-in-the-dark switch, and anti-clack repulsion magnets.
NightStar flashlights are perfect for overseas social services and disaster relief per-
sonnel, because they will operate reliably for years, in the most hostile weather and
environments, without batteries, in locations that have no infrastructure whatsoever.

A unique glow-in-the-dark wall mount accessory, originally designed for the Night-
Star II, also holds the newer NightStar 3 and NightStar CS2 models. This optional
accessory is an inexpensive way to keep your CS2 handy for immediate use, and
makes it easy to locate in the dark. No more digging around a drawer to find your
flashlight (and with a NightStar torch, no more dead batteries or burned out bulbs).
When you first receive the new NightStar flashlight, please shake the unit for about
three minutes, to fully initialize the virgin charge storage capacitor. Thereafter, you
will only need to shake it for about forty seconds to get plenty of bright usable light.
This longer initial interval may also be needed if the flashlight remains unused over
very long periods of time. A strong magnet, or another NightStar flashlight in close
proximity, may turn on the switch for NightStar models that have a magnetic switch.
