An Important Message Regarding MagLite C-Cell And D-Cell Flashlight Bulbs
Note that MagLite is currently releasing new Magnum Star II xenon bulbs. This
new high-performance xenon bulb type is now available for all two-cell through
six-cell C- or D-battery incandescent MagLite flashlights. The production of all
original White Star and Magnum Star bulb types has been discontinued by the
factory, so as remaining inventories of those obsolete types are depleted, only
the newer Magnum Star II types will be available for purchase. The transitional
period is expected to be one year or less. The new bulbs have a bi-pin (or two-
wire) base configuration, instead of a traditional PR-style flange base, and they
will fit directly into the bi-pin sockets of MagLite's upcoming incandescent flash-
light models. But each bulb package includes a special conversion socket and
a new bulb retainer collar, so these new bulbs can be very easily retrofitted onto
all existing C&D-battery MagLite models. The latest Magnum Star II bulb types
will provide significantly brighter output, and also improved beam quality, when
compared to earlier White Star krypton and Magnum Star xenon bulb products,
so you can greatly improve an old flashlight's performance for the cost of a bulb.
Some bulb types are available in a bulk package form (in individual poly bags).
The bulk pack bulbs are removed from new equipment (by one of our business
partners that remanufactures MagLites into specialty flashlights). We perform
an electrical test, and then polish and package each bulb. Our bulk pack bulbs
do not have factory blister cards, but are new and unused, and are guaranteed
to perform to factory specifications, at much lower cost than factory packaging.
MagLite has been making replacement bulbs for decades, so beware of older
stock when buying online. Some dealers still show bulbs packed on white and
gray blister cards. Those were last made in 2002 (ten years ago), and are not
as bright as the later bulbs packed on blue blister cards, produced since 2003.
Similarly, the latest and brightest (recently updated) halogen bulbs for the Mag-
Charger rechargeable are now packaged on red blister cards instead of blue.
We sell only the very latest production version of each listed MagLite bulb type
(except as specifically noted below for one discounted original 2AA bulb type).
This page also details the original Mag-LED lamp replacement modules, which
had a powerful three-Watt LED. Those modules have been discontinued by the
factory, and are no longer available for sale. However, we offer a variety of fine
quality LED modules from TerraLUX and Nite Ize for most of the MagLite brand

Solitaire
Original replacement bi-pin miniature bulbs for Solitaire
models. Battery time is 3-4 hours with a single AAA-cell.

Mini MagLite
Original replacement bi-pin miniature bulbs for MiniMagLite AA and AAA
models. Battery times: 2-3 hours with AAA-cells, or 5-6 hours with AA-cells.
Newly redesigned bulbs for the 2AA MiniMagLite have Xenon gas fill for better
performance and longer operating life than the earlier standard or Krypton bulbs.

White Star
Original replacement White Star bulbs for most C-cell and D-cell models have
Krypton gas fill. Battery times: 4-5 hours with C-cells, or 9-11 hours with D-cells.
Glass bead color: 2-cell green, 3-cell blue,
4-cell pink, 5-cell brown, 6-cell white.
These flange-based bulbs do not fit the very latest C-cell and D-cell
models that have bi-pin (two-wire) bulb sockets.

Premium upgrade Magnum Star bulbs for most C-cell and D-cell models have
Xenon gas fill. Battery times: 4-5 hours with C-cells, or 9-11 hours with D-cells.
Substantially brighter, more efficient, longer life than standard White Star bulbs.
These flange-based bulbs do not fit the very latest C-cell and D-cell
models that have bi-pin (two-wire) bulb sockets.
